Tax · Corporate and group tax

Tax is part of the strategy.

Corporate tax gets expensive when it is only considered at the end. We advise companies and groups on tax alongside structure, financing and the owners’ plans, so your decisions hold up, including with the Danish Tax Agency (Skattestyrelsen).

Connected

Tax, accounts and owners. Seen as a whole.

The same partner knows your accounts, your structure and the owners’ finances. That is why the advice fits together.

No surprises between the annual report and the tax return.

Questions.

What is joint taxation?

Danish companies in the same group are, as a rule, jointly taxed. Profits and losses across the companies can be offset, and one administration company settles the tax for the group.

What is transfer pricing?

The rules requiring transactions between group companies to take place on arm’s-length terms. The prices must be documented to the Danish Tax Agency.

Can we restructure without triggering tax?

Often, yes. Mergers, demergers and share exchanges can in many cases be carried out tax-free when the conditions are met. We assess whether approval should be sought.

What is a binding ruling?

A ruling from the Danish Tax Agency on how a specific transaction will be treated for tax purposes. It gives you certainty before the decision is made.

How do tax and the annual report connect?

The tax computation is based on the accounts but follows its own rules. We prepare both, so they are reconciled.

Can you help if the Danish Tax Agency has opened a case?

Yes. We review the case, assess your position and handle the dialogue.

What does tax advice cost?

It depends on the scope and complexity of the work. We agree the price with you before we begin.
