Tax · VAT and duties
Small details. Large sums.
VAT and duties look routine, until they are not. Errors are often found years later and can be costly. We make sure your VAT and duties are handled correctly, and that you pay no more than necessary.
VAT is one of the few taxes where a single error can repeat itself on every invoice.
Who it is for
For businesses with cross-border trade, mixed activities, property or goods subject to duty. And for businesses that want to be sure their VAT is right before the Danish Tax Agency (Skattestyrelsen) asks.
We start from your transactions, not from theory.

Questions.
When must a business register for VAT?
When VAT-liable sales exceed the registration threshold. Many choose to register from the start.
What is the reverse charge?
A scheme where the buyer, not the seller, accounts for the VAT. Among other things, it applies to certain cross-border transactions and to selected goods and services in Denmark.
What is partial VAT deduction?
If a business has both VAT-liable and VAT-exempt activities, only part of the VAT on shared costs can be deducted. The split must be calculated correctly.
Is there VAT on the sale of property?
The sale of new buildings and building plots is, as a rule, subject to VAT, while the sale of older properties is normally exempt. Letting can be registered voluntarily.
What is payroll tax?
A tax paid instead of VAT by certain businesses with VAT-exempt activities, such as those in finance and insurance.
Can we correct errors in earlier VAT returns?
Yes, within certain deadlines. We assess what can be corrected and handle the correction.
What does VAT advice cost?
It depends on the scope of the work. We agree the price with you before we begin.
